Napier garden is one of the most beautiful parts in the town of Argostoli, a historical place full of memories of a glorious past. It is a tree planted small hill surrounded by walls of traditional Kefalonian architecture. In the park pebbled aisles walk you around.
The hill was bought in 1828 by the British administrator Sir Charles James Napier and then it was donated to the Municipality of Argostoli. In 1905 the land was converted into a Municipal park. After a period of abandonment, today the park has been completely restored using E.U. funds regaining its former glory. After the extension of the walls and the pebble-lined aisles, the nice lighting, the restoration of Napier's bust sculpted in 1906 by Ioannis Kokkinos and the construction of the old kiosk Napier gardens have become a beautiful modern park.

Kefalos theatre has a beautiful auditorium with excellent acoustics. Originally built in 1857 by a Venetian architect, it was newly renovated. It is considered as one of the most impressive architectural ornaments of Argostoli and one of the best theatres in Greece.
