Conference Venue
The Pre9 conference will take place in "Kefalos", the newly refurbished Municipal Theatre of Argostoli, which is situated
in the centre of Kefalonia's capital, opposite the Archeological Museum.
"Kefalos" was inaugurated in 1858 with Giuseppe Verdi's famous opera "La Traviata", and was the main cultural centre for operas
and operettas from Italy and Greece, until it was bombed in 1943 during the German Occupation.
Nowadays the municipal theatre hosts a variety of cultural and art performances from all over the world, including operas,
symphonic orchestras, theatrical shows and ballets.
The venue facilities include a large amphitheatre, "Dionisus Lavragas" (450 seats), as well as adequate lobby areas and
a number of smaller rooms.
The conference has secured blocks of rooms for its delegates at several hotels in the area, most of them by the sea,
conveniently located near the conference venue.
