Social Events
We will be very happy to welcome you all, at this year's Protection and Restoration of the Environment Conference (PRE 9).
For our social events, we will try to offer you the best of Kefalonia, aiming that you all view and experience as much as
possible from this destination that is attracting the engaged and the curious.
The welcoming reception, and the conference dinner will be included in all types of registration fees.
An array of entertaining and fun social events are being planned to provide all participating delegates and their
accompanying persons with memorable moments.

Welcome Reception |
| The event: |

Registration will take place at the Kefalos Municipal theatre, during 17:00-19:00 hours. Wearing
your conference badge, you will be able to attend the reception.
The event will start with welcoming speeches
by the Conference Chair and representatives of the Ministry of Environment the Prefecture, and the Mayor of Argostoli.
Next, we will enjoy Kefallonian songs, a short dance performance, and a beautiful video clip of
Argostoli. The evening will finish few meters away at the Napier Gardens with Greek snacks (mezedes)
and drinks.

Buses will depart from Kefalos Theatre at 19:00 hrs, to arrive at the beautiful village of Kourkoumelata, one of
the best preserved traditional communities.
With the full support of Vergottis Foundation, we will enjoy a unique piano performance by the talented Greek
pianist Constantinos Vallianatos. We will also have the opportunity to sip local drinks accompanied by light
snacks, in this charming place. Don't miss this friendly gathering, and the opportunity to relax from the
otherwise heavy program of our meeting!

Conference Dinner |

Buses will take us for dinner to the Katavothres restaurant, located 2,5 km from Argostoli, right
next to the water. The décor for this evening will be a beautiful old watermill and the surroundings of
Argostoli golf. The restaurant is large, done up in a modern style, and its open space is very attractive and
pleasant in the summer.
